Smocking is an embroidery technique that functionally binds and decoratively embellishes pleats. This gathering of the fabric can be functional shaping or purely decorative.

In the class, we will be taking it to the next level and doing it in the round. The styrofoam balls and white pleated fabric will be provided. A variety of embroidery floss colors are available but if you have a specific color scheme in mind, you will need to bring your own. Thia will get you started with the skill needed for this next level. We ask that you have smocking basics.  You're also welcome to stay for the afternoon during Stitch and Bitch for additional assistance and to finish up.
