The inaugural KILLSWITCH Cardboard battle will take place during the Spring 2024 Maker Market on Sunday, May 5, 2024.
There are two ways to enter: you can source your own parts and build your own robot in accordance with the rules, or you can attend a guided robot building workshop.
Two robot building workshops will be held on Saturday, April 20:
Each workshop will guide five members through the process of assembling a suitable robot. All materials will be provided. In the remaining two weeks before battle, robot builders are encouraged to customize (and even totally rebuild) their robots to make them distinctive and fun for the audience. Robots are to be housed and displayed at Knox Makers in the interim. Robot parts remain the property of Knox Makers, and any that survive the deathmatch will be re-used in subsequent workshops.
