WordPress Social & Planning Session – WordPress Meetup
WordPress is an open source platform for building websites. This event is the monthly Meetup for the local WordPress Knoxville Meetup group.
We are meeting as a social meet-up and to look at ways our volunteers can help. This is a post-Asheville WordCamp Meetup, where we have received lots of interest from different local volunteers to help get our group started again.
We also received lots of support to work towards hosting our own WordCamp, and will be discussing our road to WordCamp Knoxville.
We are looking for instructors, planners and organizers, and more. Come meet the local WordPress community no matter your experience level, and we will find a place you can plug in.
After this event, we will leave Knox Makers and head to downtown Knoxville for drinks.
WordPress is an open source platform for building websites, and Knoxville’s WordPress group tries to gather for our monthly meeting to discuss WordPress topics. Presenters are still needed for upcoming months. If you are interested in leading a lightning talk or a main presentation, please contact the Knoxville WordPress group on Meetup.
More volunteers are needed to run the Happiness Bar, so if you are interested, stop by and talk to one of the volunteers or let us know you’ll be helping in advance.

Directions- Knox Makers parking and entrance is located around the back of the ETTAC building in the fenced in area.
Knox Makers is a place for the Knoxville area’s engineers, artists, hobbyists, innovators, educators and entrepreneurs to work and play. We are a technology and art collective dedicated to the promotion of creativity enabled and informed by science. Our lectures, workshops, and outreach programs inspire and educate both members and the general public. Our workshop provides members with both the space for large projects and the tools to complete them. We are a non-profit educational organization supported by member dues and staffed by volunteers.
