Wood CNC 101 – NibblerBOT Authorization

This class is designed to equip participants with the skills and knowledge needed to safely and effectively operate the NibblerBot CNC router using LinuxCNC with the Probe Basic GUI. The focus is on machine operation—not CAD/CAM design or toolpath generation. Participants will engage in a classroom lecture with simulator demonstration, followed by a hands-on session in the workshop.
Topics include navigating the GUI, startup and shutdown procedures, loading programs via the cncfm web interface and the NibblerBOT FreeCAD post-processor, loading and unloading tooling, performing tool and workpiece touch-offs, basic workholding methods, and an introduction to conversational programming.
The cost is $19.96 for Knox Makers members. There will be a maximum of 5 spots of this class, and a minimum of 2 tickets must be sold. If the class minimum is not met 48 hours prior to class start time, the class we be canceled and all tickets will be refunded.
Directions- Knox Makers parking and entrance is located around the back of the SPARK building in the fenced in area.
