Have you always wanted to learn to draw but have been afraid that you’ll never get beyond stick figures? Do you believe you’re just not creative enough to draw? Do you know how to draw a little bit, but would like to get better? This class is for you. As a working artist I have been drawing for well over a decade and I know that drawing is not something you are born with, it’s a skill you can learn. I can show you easy ways to get started like meditative exercises or following simple shapes and shading. Whatever suits your speed. You’ll learn what to look for in tools, papers, and possible directions you can take your drawing practice once class is over. So come and enjoy a nice evening with wine (if you’re old enough) and start building your drawing skills.

Knox Makers is a place for the Knoxville area’s engineers, artists, hobbyists, innovators, educators and entrepreneurs to work and play. We are a technology and art collective dedicated to the promotion of creativity enabled and informed by science. Our lectures, workshops, and outreach programs inspire and educate both members and the general public. Our workshop provides members with both the space for large projects and the tools to complete them. We are a non-profit educational organization supported by member dues and staffed by volunteers.
