In this class, we will cover the basics of SMAW (AKA Stick Welding) with E7018 and E6010/E6011 (depending on availability) electrodes.

THIS CLASS WILL BE HELD OUTSIDE AND WILL BE SUBJECT TO THE WEATHER. AN ANNOUNCEMENT WILL BE MADE 48HRS PRIOR TO THE CLASS IF A CANCELLATION IS NECESSARY.

You MUST have completed Welding 101 (Intro to MIG) or already feel very comfortable welding before taking this class. This is not an intro to the metal shop, but a class to cover how to stick weld, particularly with the welders we have available at Knox Makers.

We will spend a few minutes refreshing basic safety and area requirements, then we will get right to the welding!

Students are welcome to bring their own PPE, shield, and gloves if they have them, but this is NOT required- we have setups available to use

The cost is $24.96 for Knox Makers members, $74.96 for General Public
