Intro to and Beating up of Power Supplies (Pt 1 of 2)
Power supplies are the backbone of the electronics world, but choosing and using them can be daunting. There are many questions that must be addressed when working on your power supply project.
Part 1 of this 2-part class will focus on exploring the different types of power supplies, the pros and cons of each, and how they work. In part 2, students will tear open some power supplies, fire up the oscilloscope, and get a look under the hood. Each attendee will gain experience and familiarity with how real power supplies work when put to the test.
There will be a fee for this class of $35 for the general public, $30 for current Knox Makers members. There will be a 5 person maximum for this class, and a 3 person minimum. If the class minimum is not reached by 48 hours prior to the time the class is scheduled to begin, the class will be canceled and all tickets will be refunded.
Please note, this is a 2-part class. Your ticket purchase will cover admittance to both classes. For more information about what will be offered in part 2, go here.
