Intermediate Oscilloscope Use and Understanding
Note: This is a virtual event!
Have you used an oscilloscope but most of the buttons and features look like hieroglyphs from a foreign land? Do you want to up your game in using this versatile piece of equipment? Have you invested hard earned cash in one of these and want to get the most from it?
Here’s your change to learn more! We will talk about all kinds of practical, hands-on aspects of ‘scopes:
Trigger modes
- Rising vs falling edge vs both edges
- Single shot vs auto vs continuous
- Trigger sources
Probes
- 1x vs 10x
- 50 ohm vs 1 M ohm
- Proper probing techniques
Specs
- Bandwidth vs sample rate vs rise time
- Memory depth
- Bits vs ENOB
This class is intended for those who have used an oscilloscope, or understand the basic concepts that it shows voltage versus time in a circuit. If you’ve never used an o’scope but feel ambitious, you’re certainly welcome and may follow along just fine.
A link to the virtual event will be send to members via Mattermost direct message. Nonmembers will receive a link via the e-mail address they use to register.
