DEFCON 27: OpSec

DEFCON Groups (DCGs) are locally run branches of the annual event known as DEFCON. Each year, thousands of hackers descend upon Las Vegas (over 22,000 in 2016). This annual migration of the worlds top digital talent brings more with it than just the scent of unwashed pits. If you plan on attending this year’s DEFCON, or would just like to learn how to protect your data from prying eyes, join us on July 17th where we will be learning from DC865 organizer Zach Nelson.

There is no cost to attend this event.

Directions-  Knox Makers parking and entrance is located around the back of the SPARK building in the fenced in area.

Knox Makers is a place for the Knoxville area’s engineers, artists, hobbyists, innovators, educators and entrepreneurs to work and play. We are a technology and art collective dedicated to the promotion of creativity enabled and informed by science. Our lectures, workshops, and outreach programs inspire and educate both members and the general public. Our workshop provides members with both the space for large projects and the tools to complete them. We are a non-profit educational organization supported by member dues and staffed by volunteers.
