Creating Wood Inlays

Wood Inlay

Brian will be demonstrating the technique he use for making wood inlays. In this class you will practice this technique and create an inlay of a leaf on a piece of ash stock. You will be using marking knives, routers, gouges, chisels and the bandsaw. All materials and tools will be provided, however if you have your own marking knife or gouges you would prefer to use I encourage you bring them.

Directions- Knox Makers parking and entrance is located around the back of the SPARK building in the fenced in area.

Knox Makers is a place for the Knoxville area’s engineers, artists, hobbyists, innovators, educators and entrepreneurs to work and play. We are a technology and art collective dedicated to the promotion of creativity enabled and informed by science. Our lectures, workshops, and outreach programs inspire and educate both members and the general public.
