Announcing our new Arduino Study Group
If you’ve ever wished you could incorporate electronics in your projects but been intimidated by the apparent complexity, Arduino is for you. Literally designed to make electronics usable by artists, Arduino enables you to respond to button presses, switch lights on and off, and control motors with ease.
Our new Arduino Study Group will work you through simple exercises and projects, answering your questions as they arise. We’ll start with the basics, but beginner and novice Arduino users will likely find something of value here, too. If you want a sneak peek, you can check out the web-based textbook we’ll be using.
On Tuesday, September 27 at 6:30 PM, issac will present Arduino: Electronics for Artists to get things started. Attendees interested in participating in the study group will meet briefly afterwards. The study group, lead by original_joe and issac, will meet weekly on Mondays at 6:30 PM beginning on October 3.
Each class session costs $10, all of which goes directly to Knox Makers™. You may attend as many or as few as you like. To fully participate, you’ll need a laptop computer, an Arduino, a breadboard, and a small selection of electronic components. Arduino hardware and parts are available for purchase at the time of the class, should you require them. Total cost for materials will be approximately $60.
