If you’re interested in getting started with (or deepening your understanding of) electricity, this evening’s program will be of special interest.

In part one, you’ll build some basic electrical theory. Not only will you learn about voltage, current, and resistance, you’ll gain an intuitive understanding of how these fundamental properties interact. While theoretical, this material will be grounded in real-world examples you can relate to.

In part two, you’ll learn about multimeters, the single essential test and measurement tool for electronics..We’ll cover not only the various multimeter test functions, but also when and how to apply them to solve real-world problems. A variety of multimeters and test subjects will be made available, allowing practice and experimentation after the lecture. Already own a multimeter? Bring it with you and learn how to use it better.

This workshop is suitable for makers with electrical and electronic experience ranging from “none whatsoever” to “beginner.”

Like all other Tuesday nights, this event is free and open to the public. Our night will begin with a Show and Share where attendees are encouraged to bring out the projects they have been working on. This is a great time to request feedback for the future direction of your project, or you can just bring out something you want to show off. We hope to see you there!
