– Stereo speaker crossovers
– RF communications filters
Ray will teach attendees about several interesting concepts:
– How to think about signals in the frequency domain
– Types of filters
– How filters are used
– What’s an FFT and is it useful to me?

With the holidays over, if you just got a 3D printer and are really unsure of what to do next, this class is for you. Bring your printer if you want and we can get it sorted out.
This class will focus on
*using slicers to get a good print
*choosing the right filament for the job
*getting a good first layer
*basic maintenance
*basic calibration and tuning

Inkscape 101
Inkscape 101
Inkscape is a free and open sourced vector graphics editor. It is the primary software used to interface with Knox Makers’ laser cutter, CNC router, and vinyl cutters. This class will teach basics of drawing and arranging shapes, talk about vectors and paths, and give a general overview of Inkscape and its capabilities.
Computers will be provided, but if you want to use your own, you can download Inkscape at inkscape.org

This is an introduction to vinyl cutting and the vinyl cutters we have at Knox Makers. Together we will create a simple design in Inkscape, prepare and send it to the vinyl cutter, weed, and transfer your design.
Laptops will be provided for this class. We will discuss how to set up your personal machines for use outside of class.
