Join Tabby in learning the Cameo Silhouette machine. This class will authorize you to use the machine safely and effectively.
You will learn the difference in blades and tools available and how they work for different materials.. Learn The different materials that can be used in the machine. Learn how to set up the machine for your project and how to make adjustments if needed. Also included tips and tricks learned over the past few years on personal use on the machine. Everything is provided for this class.
Learn how to do your own nails without having to go to a salon. Tiffany will provide hands on training including tips and tricks to a perfect paint job, nail stamping design, and hand and cuticle care. Supplies provided. Must be 16 years old.

** Intro to Machining is a prerequisite class. You have to complete the Intro to Machining class before you can take the Metal Turning 101 Class. **
In this class you will receive basic hands on experience in operating a Grizzly G0602 10" x 22" Lathe. During this 3 to 4 hour class, Billy will go over the basics which include work holding, facing, center drilling, drilling, profile turning, grooving and parting operations. You will also learn the basics of using a dial indicator for more accurate parts, power feed, and basic care of the lathe. This is a tool authorization class and once completed you will be authorized to use the lathe and Knox Maker members will receive a key need to operate the lathe. Intro to Machining is a prerequisite class.
(Not covered in the class: Threading, Boring Knurling, Spherical generation, or tapered turning between centers)

This class will take you through step by step both the basic top stitch and blind hem techniques followed by some hands-on practice. In the time remaining, you can hem your own project. Yes, feel free to bring an item that needs hemming with you to class.

This is an overview authorization class and hands on workshop with our Singer XL400 Futura CNC Embroidery Machine. Attendees will learn the basics of how to turn text and images into fabric art. This class is intended for members who have not yet been authorized to use the embroidery machine.
There is a maximum of 3 participants. There is a 3 participant minimum. If the minimum amount of participants is not reached within 48 hours the class will be cancelled and charges refunded.
At this month's meeting, we have Jeremy Kelso walking us through the OWASP Top 10. The OWASP Top 10 is a list of the most critical web application security risks in use today. Kelso will be using the Juice Shop project to demonstrate these vulnerabilities and discuss ways to mitigate their use.

Join Joe Pardue in building an Arduino controlled motorized phenakiscope.
This project was specially designed to briefly introduce novices to some of a makerspace’s tools: lasercutters, 3D printers, microcontrollers, motors, LEDs, soldering and basic electronics. All the components needed to build a phenakistiscope will be provided. This workshop will be very informal. We will begin by building the phenakistiscope and then have discussions of technical aspects of the project based on the student’s interests.
