Computer Vision Coding Sprint

98B7F208-FED0-4FB3-91B4-4D9F7DC843D9

Join us as we make an open source python OpenCV code base that can run on a Raspberry Pi 3 sideprocessor and report to the roboRIO the bearing and range of the 2018 target(s) at 30+fps.

This event will be in partnership with the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC). Every year FRC releases a new robotics challenge on the first Saturday of the year. An aspect of this challenge is a 10-second autonomous period where in the robots must operate without human input. During this time, the robots may use cameras to track the position and orientation of retroflective tape target(s) affixed to various points on the game field. These targets change every year, and in this session, we will collaborate to make a working code base for this year.

All coding experience levels are welcome, but be advised that there is a coding objective here. If you do not know the basics, this event will not serve as an introduction to coding.
